Lauren and Jordan Are Turning 7!

Jordan's Bday card
Lauren's Bday card

My girls are turning 7 tomorrow! I have had these images coloured since before Christmas, so I figured it's long past time to use them.
80's Anya is for Jordan. I used some Hannah Montana pp and pulled the colours from it for the card and the colouring. I attempted my first stitching... will definitely be needing practice. (Mel don't look to closely, you'll just die) :o) It was fun though to give something new a try. I used a layout that was from TGF - CAF#4. Sewed on a couple of fun buttons in similar colours. I actually cut Anya out and I'm liking the way it looks.
Mermaid Anya - I first coloured her and then pulled the colours from her tail for the papers and accessories. I was at a scrapbook store on Sunday buying me some new copics.. really light coloured ones... love them. I picked up the coordinating coloured papers and little stick on pearls. The plastic shells are left over from my bridal shower 10 yrs ago. Why I had kept them I'm not sure, but they were finally put to some use. I used my newest nesties - Labels Four. It's so nice to have new items to play with once and awhile. I cuttlebugged the swirly folder on the two panels of green paper. The white and the green dotted ones were bought that way. Cool new papers out there. I had to refrain from going paper crazy! This layout was TGF - CAF #5. Loving their layouts.
We go for high tea this Saturday with their Gramma, our best friends Suzi and Makenna and some school friends for their little party celebration! I'm so looking forward to it, but am sad they are growing up just a little too quickly!

Birthday Anya Cards

A couple of Birthday cards that I have recently made for some girlfriends Bday's.
The purple/black card is SC255 and the other card I didn't write down what sketch it is or from where. I am keeping them too blah and simple, but I seem to be throwing together the cards last minute lately with no time to try anything new or add more details. In a funk, that's forsure. I definitely enjoy colouring Anya's. I've been trying different ways to see if I can make my colouring look better... like some of those uber talented ladies out there. Maybe, one day I'll get there. I actually cut out an Anya for once. That was a nice change and used my newest Nestie too - Curved Rectangles. Always nice to have something new.
I got a few new copics last week. Bought them online, so hard to know the true colour of them... a couple that I got aren't too pretty. What is the newest item that you have bought for your crafting needs or more like wants?
Cheers and thanks for stopping in!

Lauren and Jordan 7th Birthday Tea Party

The ever so talented Mel and I got together a couple weekends ago to make teacup invitations and little purses for goodie bags for my girls upcoming 7th Birthday Tea Party. We are having it at a little Bakery close by that has a feel of Gramma's house in the decor. We will be served high tea with little heart shaped jam sandwiches, pastries and cake for the little girls and a great assortment of items for the big girls that are going. I love going there for high tea. It's so fun!
When I was down in the States the day before making these, I picked up goodies for the little purses. Little eye shadows, lip glosses, nail polishes, little heart shaped paper pads, pencils, M&M's and Fun Dips. These were so fun to make... especially because I got to spend a whole day with Mel and she did all the hard work. :o) Thanks Mel!
Now to finish the wording for the inside and have the girls hand them out. It shall be such a fun time!
Thanks for stopping by for a lookey lew. If you would like the templates, please click on Mel at the top and it will take you to her site. She is uber talented and makes her own templates.
