Princess Money Holder

My girls received money holders from Gramma Karen for their Bdays. I just loved them and wanted to try and copy them. Here is my Princess version. The one I copied, is at the bottom of this post! I love the colours on it!

Measurements/ Scoring - 8" x 9" piece of paper Score from top 3 1/2" Score from bottom 2" Fold bottom piece to inside of the card and adhere sides to be the money pocket.

Patterned Paper Measurements - top piece - 2", middle piece 3/8", bottom piece 1 1/4". The bottom and middle pieces I made bigger then those measurments, as it was easier to work with and then just covered it up with the next layer. Does that make any sense? Work from bottom to top. Pattern Papers are Imaginisce - Fairest of Them All.

I couldn't get a nice picture of the inside of the card. I used the SU word window punch to make the opening in the middle of the card. I only punched out about half of the window size in height. The blue piece says princess, embossed from a cuttlebug folder.

Here is the original money holder made at Oasis Scrapbooking in Cranbrook. I need to get me some rub ons. I really like the Happy Birthday look of this rub on. I can't wait to try more of them, maybe with some rub ons!!! They are really quick to make. Another excuse to shop! :o)

Girls 6th Bday Invites

Here are the girls Prince and Princess invites for their Bday party. We are having it at the local rec. centre to save me the stress of 15 kids in our house. I made pink and purple versions for the girls and blue/green ones for the 2 boys invited. The crown and frog are Imaginisce stamps
that I got from paperworksco in the fall. These were actually pretty easy and quick to make!

All the kids can make it, so it shall be a loud and fun time for the girls. They sure are excited! Thanks to Baba, there will be face painting, a Barbie bouncy castle and crafts to make. I can't believe they are 6 yrs already!

Thanks for stopping by for a peak! I wish I had more time and ideas to create!

Yummy Cupcake

I bought the ribbon and the Basic Grey Bittersweet - Raspberry Cream PP at a LSS last week... it was the smallest purchase I have ever made for card supplies.

Recipe:

Stamps - Hero Arts Cupcakes
Paper - Pink Pirouette, Regal rose?, back of SU glossy and Basic Grey PP
Ink - Brilliance graphite blk, Riding Hood Red
Accessories - Heart ribbon, pink gemstones, pink Shimmerz, heart punch, blender pen, SU marker and nesties label 2.

This card took too long to create tonight, but I'm happy I've got something to show for the hours of frustration. My Mom sold $35 worth of my cards to a lady at her work today. Made me feel pretty good! :O)

Happy Cardmaking!
